Emboss with die cuts - flower

Another card with the "embossing with dies" technique from A Cut Above online class. They also gave us a tip on how to emboss with the PTI impression plates - love it - such great results, so much better that what I got before.

This time I embossed with the flower die, and then stamped inside with the coordinating flower.

Emboss with Die cuts - wedding

Still part of the A Cut Above online class,  we learned how to emboss with dies. I love this.

This is a perfect wedding card, so simple and elegant. Really love this technique!!

Flowers - Partial Die Card

I am participating in the A Cut Above online card class and having a blast. It is so much fun. I wish I had more time to play with everything I see there...

So I'll just go right to Day 4 - Partial die cards. This technique looks like so much fun, I had to try it right away.

I am using this card for the following challenges:
  1. Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - don't you just love the color scheme?
  2. Simon says stamp - anything goes
  3. Lily pad flower challenge

Thank you window card

This is a thank you card for our window guy (who is also a family member). I thought it was really clever to have a window on his card. He was really sweet and fixed our window and didn't even charge for it.

So I wanted to show my appreciation with a card (and a voucher for a free breakfast for him and his wife in a close by resturant).

Butterflies Frames and a card

I created 4 frames as a gift to a dear friend.

The frames are basic simple wooden frames for a 4x6 pictures. I colored then and then matted the butterflies on a patterned paper. For a finishing look and to tie the 4 frames together I added a butterfly stamp to the frame itself. I am so pleased with how it turned out I think I'll make more for my own house.

Here is an individual view of each frame.

I added a card to go along

The dress was decorated with some reinstones

and of course, the inside was decorated as well.

Notebook cover

For Passover I made a gift to my daughter's day care teachers.

I gave each a notebook which I decorated the cover and personalized it for each one.

I used fabric from Make Badim and ribbon from my own stash.

I forgot to take a picture of this one with the name

Here is a look of the inside of all 3 notebooks.

It was very easy to make, so I think I will be making more in the future.

One thing I learned though, is that Mod Podge worked better then Tacky glue.

Don't throw it away

When the adhesive runs out from our tape runner, what do you do with the left over strip?

I made a beautiful bow to decorate gifts.

Here is the final bow:

Quick tutorial on how I did it:

1. Remove the strip from the tape runner.

2. Fold it around a ruler to make it easier to cut

3. Cut both sides

4. Secure in the middle with a brad.

5. Ruffle with scissors

6. Enjoy your work :-)

Here is how I used it
