This card was made to a very sweet girl, who I really really love, who turned 8 this week. I know it seems like a lot of work for a card for an 8 years old, but I really enjoyed making it and kind of got carried away with elements, but I like the final outcome and I think this is what counts at the end, right???

Shopping birthday
I love this card :-)
I created this for a friend of mine who LOVES to shop (but really - who doesn't??).
I also decorated the envelope to match.

Now I'm set with the card, if only buying her a gift would be that easy...

Sunshine Birthday
Today I created a happy birthday card with the inspiration from the Simon Says Stamp Joy's Summer Inspiration photo
Here is the inspiration photo
And here is my card
The big yellow sunflower immediately caught my eye and reminded me of a big yellow sun. I don't have a sun stamp, or any paper with sun, so I decided to create a sun with the triangle from the HeroArts/Studio Calico stamp set. I then masked the rays to stamp the clouds.
The happy b-day is created with a technique I saw on Jennifer Mcguirk blog - Thin Glitter Die Cuts.
It looks like so much fun. I didn't have wide scor tape, so I actually had to do some extra work for this. First I lined a piece of white paper with thin scor tape. Then I cut the text in my silhouette machine and when that was done, I run it through the xyron sticker maker. That gave me the text with glue on both side. I then added glitter and colored it with copics - fun!
Here is a close up to the result.

Hexagon Congrats
OK- So I am really liking EURO 2012 (If you don't know what it is - you must be an American) - it's the European football (soccer) championship and it's a month full of games, two games almost every night - so as you can imagine, I have more time for scrap right now with my hubby very busy with the TV schedule :-)
Today's card is based on the SPARKS challenge on the Paper Smooches blog (talk about last minutes submission...in my time zone I'm late, but in theirs I'm still fine....).
and the inspiration photo is this
I choose to go with a the geometric hexagon pattern from the GEO-GRAPHICS stamp set from PS and colored it with Copics (v09, bg11, r46, b05, y15).
I then added the hearts from the Lawn Fawn "Cruising Through Life" stamp set and covered them with Glossy Accent.
Some twine and a banner with the words "Celebrate" and gems around them.
Mounted on some layering paper from Hero Hues in matching colors and the card was almost finished.
