Congrats new baby

Quick baby card, I tried making a shaped card. I really like it.

A friend of mine is going back to work after 7 months of maternity leave. I made her a small "going back to work" gift to ease the "pain".

I had a box for notes that I got from a vendor at some point, so I covered it with cute patterned paper, decorated it with butterflies, punched borders and lots of shimmer.

 

The sentiment I choose to use is from the "Find Joy" stamp set by Hero Arts. I thought it is really fitting :-) and I wanted it to be in front of her every time she grabs a note. I colored it with copics and used distress ink for the edges.

 

Here is a close up on the butterfly, I had it sprayed with the Tsukineko gold Shimmer, I hope you can see it. It turned out really shiny and beautiful.

 

I added a matching tag from the left over of the paper.

CMIT Featured Designer Challenge - St. Patrick's Day design

This card is entered into the  CMIT Featured Designer Challenge - St. Patrick's Day design challenge.

I had so much fun creating this card.

I stamped 4 large hearts and 4 medium hearts (Hearts Print stamp set from Papertrey Ink) on Black PTI cardstock. I then embossed them all with white embossing powder.

I then die cut them all and another 4 small hearts from green patterned paper.

From the hearts I created a shamrock (four-leaf clover). I glued the layers of hearts to make the petals. I finished it by adding a big shiny brad and colored a few of the flowers on the big hearts with a copic marker that matched the color of the patterned paper I used (YG63 Pee Green). I am very impressed that I can color with the copic on the embossed image. Big surprise :-)

I added a ribbon in cream and some twine that I colored with the same copic as above. The charm is an added symbol for the luck I am wishing the person who will receive this card.

The front panel was adhered to a white card from white PTI cardstock.

I also decorated the inside of the card to match (If you notice it's opening from right to left, you are right - it's not a mistake - this card is going to a Hebrew speaking person, and this is how we write and read).

Happy Birthday - Butterfly card

Happy Birthday card (the greeting is in Hebrew).

I used the Butterflies punch by Martha Stewart. The butterflies are all in different colors (all the same family, one shade difference) but I was not able to catch it in the picture.

Baby Card

It started as a one layer baby card using my new Papertrey Ink Dot Spot stamp set on a Hero Art layering paper.

But then I decided I want to add the hand symbol for good luck (The hand - called Hamsa, coming from the word Five in Arabic, is a symbol of good luck in the middle east) and so I decided to add the ribbon to hold it.

The wording on the card is the name of the baby in Hebrew.
