Glitter Wedding Card

I really wanted to use some glitter I had, so I remembered a technique I saw a while back that used Glitter on top of score tape.

I actually started with the 3 scor tape lines and putting glitter on them and then the rest of the card just came to it...

For the main heart I used two heart dies from LifeStyle crafts. The top one was embossed with the swirls embossing folder. I really like those dies, such high quality and you get many with each pack. I have a very clever system to store them, I'll take a picture and show it in one of the upcoming posts. Just bought a bunch more with the black Friday sales... -  shhh .. don't tell my husband :-)

The little hearts are from a punch I bought with my son at a kids store and it is really good quality (to my great surprise).

Here is a close up on the glitter lines. I first put the scor tape on the page and then put the glitter on them one by one. I am really happy with how it turned out. And after the initial shedding the card is not even leaving glitter on my hands when holding it.

Christmas Card - CMIT Featured Designer Challenge and YCU #4

As you all know (or not), in Israel we don't celebrate Christmas and so the whole Christmas spirit and decorations and colors is not part of my culture. But the plenitude of Christmas cards and challenges on the web this time of year, made me want to challenge myself and try to create a Christmas card.

I decided to go with green and red glitter pages that are so "Christmas" spirit. I created the cute Santa with a few dies: circle and scallop circle for the face and beard, scallop rectangle for the hat. For the tiny circles for the nose and the top of the hat I used an office page puncher.

The green tag was cut free hand, the beautiful Christmas tag is from Graphics 45 (won it a few months ago from Simon Says Stamp and I am so happy I got to use it).

I embossed Kraft paper for the background and added distress ink vintage photo, and to finish the card I added the gold ribbon in order give it all a festive look.

Happy Birthday - Rotem is 2

Card for a sweet 2 year old who LOVES wheels. I used appropriate pattern paper and I freehand drew and cut the car. I added the dog for the fun of it.

I also made him a wall hanging decoration with some old CDs and a few dies and stickers (my 2 yeaars old daughter loved it...). I used the circle die cuts by Lifestyle crafts, that are the exact size of the CD - so that was so easy to do. I am thinking I'll make a few more.. just for the fun of it.

Butterfly card

This was a quick card I made to try out an idea I had for a colorful card.

It's a fairly simple card. I used the polka dot embossing folder for the background, colored with a few distress inks. The butterfly image is from the Horray (Sudio Calico), the sentiment from the Find Joy (Hero Arts) and the small star is from the Plus One (Lawn Fawn) stamp set. (product list below).
