היום אני מציגה כרטיס שנוצר בעצם מתוך ניסוי... רציתי לנסות את חומר החותמות של סילואט. סילואט מוכרת חומר שאפשר לחתוך וליצר ממנו חותמות אישיות. החלטתי לראות האם זה עובד טוב.
Today's card was made out of an experiment I made with the Silhouette Stamp Material. With this material you are able to cut your own stamps. I wanted to see how well it works.

This card is also a interpenetration (very loose one...) of a sketch for
this challenge
אז ככה:
1. השתמשתי במשטח וסכין חדשים והחומר נחתך כמו חמאה. גם חיתוכים עדינים נחתכו מצויין.
1. I used a new mat and knife and the material cut very smooth. Even very delicate cuts were very sharp.
2. אבל! החומר עצמו מאוד דק ולכן מתאים יותר לחתוך ממנו דמויות שלמות ולא חיתוכים דקים ועדינים כי את החיתוכים הדקים והעדינים קשה מאוד לסדר על הבלוק האקרילי. אפשר לראות בתמונה כמה דק חתכתי את המסגרת והיה לי מאוד קשה להחתים איתה.
2. But! The material is very thin, so it's better to cut full figures and not border type stamps, as it is very hard (next to impossible) to arrange the thin cuts on the acrylic block.
3. בגלל שהחומר דק, הדיו מלכלך גם את המשטח האקרילי מסביב, זה אמנם לא עובר לדף שמחתימים אבל אותי זה עצבן ולכלך לי את האצבעות כל פעם מחדש.
3. Because the material is very thin, when you stamp with it, the ink is also touching the block while you ink the stamp. It is not stamping on the page, but I got my fingers dirty every time and I didn't like it...
4. החומר עצמו, לטעמי לא איכותי כמו חותמות הסיליקון הטובות שקונים. למשל אפשר לראות בדוגמא למטה, שלא משנה באיזה דיו משתמשים, ההחתמה יוצאת קצת כמו דיו דיסטרס. ניסיתי בכל סוגי הדיו שיש לי בבית.
4. The stamp itself, in my opinion is not as good as the silicone stamps you buy. You can see in the example below, that even when I used a good pigment ink, the stamping still looked like I used a distress ink, I was not able to get a solid image no matter what ink type I used, and I tried every ink I have in the house.
בקיצור זה נחמד שיש את האפשרות לחתוך חותמות לפי בקשתך אבל זה מתאים בעיקר לחותמות מלאות ולהחתמות שלא צריכות לצאת מושלמות מבחינת החתמה מלאה ואחידה.
So, to sum it up, It's nice to have the option to cut stamps based on what you need, but it really fits it you like the distress look, and it really only fits for block solid images.
